14-String Baroque Lute Guitar
This
instrument
was
a
special
commission.
The
owner
is
a
lute
player
but
was
wanting
something
more
comfortable to play.

There
are
Alto
guitars,
which
are
guitar
versions
of
lutes
often
in
a
‘G’
tuning.
So
it
is
easier
for
classical
players
to
switch
over.
This
particular
version
has
a
regular
classical
guitar
scale
length
with
a
deeper
Dm
tuning.
This
customer
requested
an
extra
14th
bass
string.
The
reason
for
a
full
width
fingerboard
is
that
he
wanted
to
use
a
capo.
Like
a
lute
he
aslo
wanted
a
radius
fingerboard.
I
am
very
pleased
with
the
Schaller
tuners.
